John Mulcahy is walking 50 miles today around the Ballyvolane Area in support of Le Cheile Africa which is a charity set up by local Corkman Derry Desmond who fundraises money for projects in Kenya. Derry is part-taking in the challenge walking through the Rift Valley in Kenya.

Their goal is to raise €1600 from this challenge that has been taken on by a number of Bons Secours staff members as well a number of others throughout Ireland.

John is pictured with his son Eoghan who is doing 25 miles for the charity. Both would like to thank everyone who had donated to the GoFundMe which has now raised €2250.
